El ejercicio físico y sus beneficios psicológicos en adolescentes: Revisión sistemática
Physical activity offers a wide range of psychological benefits that significantly and positively impact the lives of young people, encompassing multiple dimensions. The objective of this research was to systematize the theoretical and methodological evidence supporting the psychological benefits associated with physical activity in adolescents through a systematic review following the PRISMA protocol guidelines. This analysis focused on scientific articles, review papers, and theses, both nationally and internationally, published between 2018 and 2024. The findings from these studies highlighted the significant impact of physical activity on aspects such as self-esteem, emotional control, and the prevention of common mental disorders (stress, anxiety, depression). Consequently, it was concluded that physical exercise is essential for the physical and psychological development of adolescents, strengthening neurobiological aspects and enhancing emotional resilience. These studies recommend engaging in 4 to 5 hours of physical activity per week to achieve psychological benefits, emphasizing its importance in promoting mental health among young people.
