Estética, ética y política de la moda: hacia hábitos sustentables

This paper analyzes the potentials of fashion for the development of sustainable habits. We understand this sustainability as a joint activity for the benefit of our common life. This implies that we have to analyze the possibilities that fashion presents for its development from the philosophical, at the same time aesthetic, ethical and political point of view. First, we examine the main characteristics of the relationships that are established in fashion: imitation and circularity. Secondly, we inquire about the legislative capacity of fashion for the development of habits. Third, we explore the relationship between the development of our semblance and the generation of a humanly shared space of appearance, where mutual recognition and joint development are possible.
