Estrategia Pedagógica Ambiental Basado en el Cultivo de Semillas Propias para el Cuidado Ambiental en la Primera Infancia de la Comunidad Awá de Pambil Resguardo Gran Sábalo
The purpose of this research is to strengthen environmental stewardship through a pedagogical strategy for cultivating Awá seeds among children in the Pambil community of the Gran Sábalo Reservation, Barbacoas Municipality, Nariño. The research is framed within a qualitative approach, with a descriptive style and a participatory action design; the Awá intercultural context of Pambil approach. Through the survey and rubric, the necessary responses were obtained for each of the stated objectives. The research process included three stages: diagnosis, strategy design and implementation, and evaluation. The results collected during the evaluation of this first specific objective show that preschool-aged children possess some knowledge regarding environmental stewardship, although not in a comprehensive manner, such as recycling, water conservation, or waste management. In general, it can be said that a good number of the children surveyed recognize the importance of water in their daily lives. When it comes to plant cultivation, many children emphasize the importance of light, but few emphasize the importance of the nutrients in the soil. It is evident that the use of pedagogical strategies such as the school garden or the telling of traditional Awá myths was effective in fostering a connection with nature and ancestral knowledge. Practical activities, such as planting seeds and caring for seedlings, allowed children to acquire attitudes and skills of observation and environmental responsibility.
