El burnout en docentes de bachillerato analizado en tres dimensiones: agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y realización personal

This study examined the burnout level of teachers in an educational institution in the city of Milagro. For this purpose, a quantitative approach was used, with a descriptive and cross-sectional design. The research design was non-experimental and cross-sectional. The Maslach Burnout Inventory Questionnaire (MBI) was applied in an adapted version with 21 items, which has a Likert scale of 7, ranging from 0 to 6. The study population and sample is represented by 23 teachers during the month of March 2025 in an educational unit in the canton of Milagro, province of Guayas. The evaluation carried out through the MBI questionnaire reveals an alarming situation in terms of their emotional well-being. It was found that a significant proportion of teachers feel extremely exhausted and fatigued due to the demands of their work, which is attributed to factors such as overwork and insufficient resources. In addition, it was found that many of them show a tendency to withdraw emotionally from their students and colleagues, which could be related to the pressure of the education system and the lack of professional recognition. Regarding personal job satisfaction, the results are mixed: while some teachers feel satisfied and fulfilled, others show a notable lack of motivation.
