Abstract

Following the revolution brought about by the creation of the Internet, we have quickly moved from an information society to a society in which digital technology is beginning to overflow communication spaces. All types of users, including elderly people with disabilities, voluntarily use and upload a huge amount of their own data to so-called intermediary services, such as social networks and blogs. Many of these contents may have patrimonial value and therefore must form part of the inheritance of their owner. For this reason, in Spain, Organic Law 3/2018 regulates in its article 96 the so-called “Right to a digital will”.
