En kort historia av hungersnöd och Sveriges tidigare, nutida och framtida Livsmedelssystemet
Famine is a word often used to describe times when food has been scarce, and widespread starvationhas occurred, and is still a relevant word today. Food scarcity and the breakdown of food systems areevents most often caused by a polycrisis, i.e., complex, interconnected events that can stem frompolitical and/or economic crisis, but in regard to famines most often triggered by environmental changesand natural disaster. To understand and combat these challenges, their causes and effect on the foodsystem needs to be acknowledged. Vulnerable parts of the agricultural system can be found in any foodsystem, but as the world becomes more interconnected via import and export, the reliance on othercountries can cause problems. While it is impossible to state any exact potential causes of a future foodsystem collapse in Sweden, it is undeniable that in the future food systems will be put to a lot of stresswhich will directly affect the economy, politics and, most importantly, people.
