In this document presents an analysis of the impact that the manufacturing industry has on the employment generation and its influence on the economic development of the municipality of El Salto, Jalisco, which in the recent years has had great industrial growth. To conduct the analysis, scatter graphs with lines were used to observe the change in employment in a period from 2017 to 2022, and the change in public investment and expenditures in a period from 2017 to 2021. Additionally, an information search was conducted to understand the type of development that has taken place in the region. The results obtained lead us to conclude that employment generation by the manufacturing industry is indeed related to the economic development of El Salto, Jalisco; we see that year after year the amount of expenditures allocated to the municipality by the State Government has increase in direct relation with the increase in tax revenues, these expenditures are used by the municipality to cover the different services demanded by the population and to construct different infrastructure projects.
