El reconocimiento económico de los cuidados socio-comunitarios: condiciones de trabajo y agendas de demandas de la economía popular

In recent years, various studies on work have focused on the phenomenon of the popular economy (PE) as an object and subject of study. A novelty in this sector is the creation of social organizations with union characteristics that fight for these precarious jobs to be transformed into jobs with rights, such as the case of UTEP. These organizations have deployed innovative community ways of attention to the care needs of the sector, while recent processes of politicization of socio-community work and its inclusion in the broader agenda of demands of the EP have been observed. If there is a particularity and singularity of occupations and jobs linked to care, it is their intrinsic difficulty for their symbolic and monetary recognition. In this work we ask ourselves - based on a review of the literature on occupations linked to care - about the specific configuration of the socio-community work conditions of PE, the place that the recognition of care occupies in the agendas of demands, and the role of certain antecedents of public policies in the economic recognition of these activities.
