Introduction: The planning and implementation of outdoor physical activities for people with disabilities depends on two key ele-ments: the training of professionals and the available resources. Objectives: This study analyses the impact of a training programme on the use of the Joëlette moun-tain chair and the key elements necessary to carry out these activities that aim to improve the inclusion of people with disabilities. Methodology: The research was carried out in Spain and Lebanon, Mediterra-nean countries with con-trasting cultural and social contexts. A training pro-gramme was carried out in each country with the participation of 40 people. Two focus group were held with eleven (n=11) partic-ipants after the implemen-tation of the programme. Results and Discussion: The results highlight that inclusive hiking with mountain chair is a power-ful tool for promoting val-ues such as teamwork, solidarity, socialization, and awareness towards people with disabilities. Addition-ally, significant differences were noted regarding accessibility difficulties in Lebanon, due to the com-plex political, social, and economic situation of the country. The need to invest in projects and training programs related to inclu-sion that facilitate access to natural environment for people with disabilities is emphasized. Conclusions: It has been shown that inclusion through hiking with moun-tain chair is a real possibil-ity in different contexts, contributing to fostering inclusive attitudes and reinforcing social cohesion.
