Difusión de técnicas tradicionales para la elaboración de artesanías como estrategia de preservación

This research work addresses the dissemination of traditional techniques in handicraft production as a preservation strategy in the municipality of Escárcega, Campeche, where the possible loss of traditional crafts and techniques is evident. The general objective is to analyze and propose dissemination strategies that contribute to the preservation of traditional techniques, identifying the elaboration processes and the current situation of artisan producers. The methodology integrates a qualitative approach, combining field work, interviews with local artisans and analysis of production processes using the DAM matrix. The results show that most of the products produced are handmade, and also reveal a worrying discontinuity in the transmission of knowledge, with a predominance of adult artisans and an absence of generational replacement. In response, a cultural mediation model is proposed that includes the creation of a digital catalog and a web page with audiovisual content, as well as workshops in educational institutions, seeking to generate interest in the new generations and contribute to the economic and social revitalization of the regional artisan sector.
