Diseño de chasis para vehículo eléctrico con motores de cubo

This article presents the methodological design of chassis systems as part of an integral system that includes several components for an Electric Vehicle (EV). The design includes important factors such as the integration of electric hub motors as the main part of the power system, the design of the components of the suspension and steering systems, as well as the location of the space for the electronic control system, including the lithium battery. The small dimensions of the vehicle play an important role in the design decision for the final product, in order to reduce weight, cost and help with the problem of road and air pollution in highly congested cities. A finite element pre-analysis is contemplated to estimate the resistance and deformations of its main base under static and dynamic impact loads. The chassis is designed for a body in which solar panels must be installed to recharge the lithium batteries used by the hub motors and contribute to the EV's autonomy. It must conclude in a final austere, economical, and practical EV design for urban use.
