Desafios da enfermagem na assistência a pacientes com HIV nas unidades de saúde da família de Porto Nacional

This Course Completion Work aimed to analyze the challenges faced by the nursing team of the Family Health Strategy (ESF) of Porto Nacional-TO in assisting people living with HIV. The research used a quantitative approach, applying Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and hierarchical grouping, complemented by theoretical basis. The results showed that factors such as emotional suffering, stress, prejudice, lack of technical and institutional support directly influence the quality of care provided. Based on the findings, it is recommended to strengthen institutional support, offering ongoing training, psychological support and actions to combat stigma. The study contributes to understanding the difficulties faced by nursing and to the formulation of strategies aimed at improving care for people living with HIV.
