Competencias Digitales para la Inclusión de Personas Mayores: Políticas, Desafíos, Innovaciones Tecnológicas y Reducción de Desigualdades
The digital transformation has reshaped social, economic, and cultural structures, challenging the inclusion of elderly populations in technological contexts. This study highlights barriers such as limited access to technology, digital illiteracy, and social inequalities that restrict the participation of older adults in the digital society. It explores successful initiatives, including the University of the Third Age in Brazil and Uruguay’s Ceibal Plan, which integrate personalized training with technological access to empower the elderly. Furthermore, the research discusses the potential of artificial intelligence and assistive technologies in customizing digital learning. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary approaches, inclusive peda-gogies, and well-structured public policies to ensure digital equity for the elderly, fostering their autonomy, social integration, and participation in contemporary society.
