(ce) qui touche e(s)t (ce) qui regarde Derrida: Lectura patética del “Têteà-tête” de Jacques Derrida entre el ver y el tocar

A late text published for an exhibition of works by Camilla Adami, Jacques Derrida’s “Tête-à-tête” constitutes a thematic focal point around the question of the animal. In this article, based on our own translation which constitutes the first version of this work in Spanish, we propose a reading of said text follow-ing the conjugations of the pathos given in it, identifying the motives of sight and touch as keys to understanding the derridean position around the animal question.

Abstract

A late text published for an exhibition of works by Camilla Adami, Jacques Derrida’s “Tête-à-tête” constitutes a thematic focal point around the question of the animal. In this article, based on our own translation which constitutes the first version of this work in Spanish, we propose a reading of said text follow-ing the conjugations of the pathos given in it, identifying the motives of sight and touch as keys to understanding the derridean position around the animal question.
