Aplicación de estrategias neuroeducativas para mejorar la atencion sostenida y la memoria en estudiantes de educación basica superior

The educational process faces challenges related to sustained attention and working memory, which are essential skills for academic learning. This study aimed to analyze the impact of neuroeducational strategies on the attention and memory of upper basic education students.A quantitative-experimental research design with a pretest-posttest approach was conducted, following a positivist paradigm and a mixed-methods approach integrating quantitative and qualitative analyses. The sample consisted of 30 students selected by convenience from a population of 180. Neuroeducational strategies based on multisensory and emotional stimulation were implemented over six weeks. Results showed a significant improvement in students’ sustained attention and immediate memory after the intervention. Statistical analysis revealed an increase in the evaluated cognitive abilities, supported by positive perceptions from students and teachers. These findings confirmed the effectiveness of neuroeducation in strengthening executive functions and promoting a more dynamic and motivating learning environment. In conclusion, the systematic application of neuroeducational strategies enhanced academic performance and consolidated essential cognitive skills. Longitudinal studies were recommended to assess the permanence of these effects and to expand the application across diverse educational contexts.
