Aproximações entre os estudos da sociologia pragmática e da ambientalização

This text articulates the perspective of pragmatic sociology with the notion of environmentalization, in order to understand their interfaces and contribute to research in the socio-environmental field. From a theoretical study, especially of articles and books, we set out to present the two approaches, bringing empirical examples. We see dialogues between environmentalization and pragmatic sociology, deepening the analysis of environmentalization processes by paying attention to materialities, action situations, the forms of valuations that people give to the environment and the affectivities articulated between humans and non-humans. Understanding the meanings of the environmental situated in contexts, discourses, objects, evidence, associations and the reasons for action unfolds the analysis of what and how environmentalization takes place, including how these environmentalizations operate and what futures they indicate in the era of the climate emergency. Finally, we present an analytical framework that systematizes a cycle of the environmentalization process.
