Aproximación a las fórmulas de despedida en el lenguaje comercial del siglo XVI. La correspondencia de Simón Ruiz
The approach to the routine formulas of farewell in the collection of letters of Simón Ruiz, typical of a specific epistolary subgenre and of a specific period, shows that it is a set of fixed structures, highly conventionalized and routinized, socially and culturally marked within the conventions of the standardized politeness of the time. The different linguistic patterns of each of these groups have been analyzed, as well as their fixation or variation. The analysis consists of two parts: on the one hand, we have studied the farewell formulas inherited from previous periods, some of them in decline at the end of the century, according to the corpus; on the other hand, it has been outlined the guidelines for examining the process of phraseologization of chained syntagmatic structures that make up the closing paragraphs of the letter. A first approach shows that by the end of this period these formulas had been pragmatized as mere phatic indicators of channel closure. The historical, social, cultural, textual, linguistic and pragmatic conditioning factors that lead to the absence of closing formulas in part of the letters remain to be studied.
