Antecedentes de la formación del Técnico Superior en Agua y Saneamiento

The theoretical and practical requirements for training a Higher Technician in Cuba distance it from what is socially recognized for university studies and bring it closer to the upper secondary professional level, which is why the following objectives are presented: To analyze the background of the training of the Higher Technician in Water and Sanitation, based on the study of both training levels. Theoretical and empirical methods were considered, such as: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, documentary study, and interviews. The above reveals the regularities of this training at the international level and the background that, without reaching the level of a periodization, summarizes the training process of the Hydraulic Engineer and the Mid-Level Technician in Hydraulics, to carry out a theoretical-practical training process for the Higher Technician in Water and Sanitation, with quality and that responds to current demands.
