Análisis de los factores biomecánicos que están generando sintomatología de lesiones osteomusculares en los trabajadores del área de plan de manejo de tráfico en una empresa constructora de infraestructura vial
This study analyzes the discomfort and pain experienced by workers in the Traffic Management Plan (TMP) area of a road infrastructure construction company. Over the past year, a significant increase in musculoskeletal symptoms has been observed, prompting the analysis of biomechanical factors such as prolonged postures, repetitive movements, and physical exertion. A lack of assessment or inadequate performance of these tasks can lead to diseases affecting the musculoskeletal system. To identify the root cause, the following objectives were set: analyze the biomechanical factors that could lead to musculoskeletal diseases; identify biomechanical risk classification; implement an assessment method in the affected areas; and propose promotion, prevention, and control measures. The methodology was based on surveys conducted among 15 workers, who comprised the study population. These tests allowed them to identify the body areas where the discomfort manifests, taking into account the exposure time: The results revealed a high rate of symptoms in the neck, back (thoracic and lumbar areas), hands, wrists, and shoulders. These discomforts are directly related to the postures adopted while performing their work.
