Європейські ініціативи підтримки трудової мобільності та інтеграції України у європейський ринок праці

As a result of the full-scale criminal invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, a large number of Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and seek refuge in EU countries. On the one hand, the war creates additional challenges, such as mass migration, economic destruction and instability, on the other hand, it emphasizes the need to integrate the Ukrainian labor market into the European one to support the economy and provide opportunities for Ukrainians. The article examines key current European initiatives aimed at integrating Ukraine into the European labor market, especially in the context of unprecedented migration of Ukrainians caused by the war. Support programs and projects, such as temporary protection, initiatives for the recognition of qualifications, retraining programs and employment opportunities, are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the review of regional initiatives to support labor mobility on the example of individual EU countries, as an important tool for Ukraine’s integration into the European labor market. Examples of successful initiatives and projects (including information support, vocational training, assistance in legalizing employment and adaptation to a new workplace) are given, aimed at facilitating Ukrainian citizens’ access to employment in other countries of the European Union. Special attention is paid to the study of the effectiveness of existing global European initiatives to support labor mobility in the context of current geopolitical realities and prospects for further expansion of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union in the field of labor. The activities of the EURES network and a number of its initiatives and projects to promote free mobility of workers within the European Economic Area are analyzed. Statistical data of the EURES network on the integration of Ukrainians into the European labor market, including filling the labor shortage in certain sectors, are given. The potential prospects and challenges associated with the opening of the European labor market for Ukrainian citizens are analyzed, as well as the necessary steps for successful integration and ensuring decent working conditions. The article aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of European initiatives in the process of Ukraine’s rapprochement with the European Union in the labor sphere in the context of obtaining associate membership and gradual harmonization of legislation with European standards.
