ШТУЧНИЙ ІНТЕЛЕКТ У ЗАКЛАДАХ ВИЩОЇ ОСВІТИ: ПРОБЛЕМИ І ТЕОРЕТИЧНІ ПЕРСПЕКТИВИ

Abstract. The article considers the current problem of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the educational process of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the context of active digital transformation of society and education. The emphasis is on the potential of AI in transforming the educational environment, in particular in the context of personalizing learning, automating the analysis of educational data, predicting students’ academic success, developing adaptive platforms, and optimizing administrative management. The key advantages of using AI are analyzed, in particular the ability to individualize educational trajectories, reduce the burden on teachers, and increase the efficiency of the educational process. At the same time, the main challenges of implementing AI in HEIs are identified: the lack of unified integration standards, ethical risks associated with the transparency of algorithms and the protection of personal data, limited funding and technical infrastructure, and insufficient training of personnel. The article analyzes modern scientific approaches of Ukrainian and foreign researchers to the use of AI in education, in particular its impact on changing pedagogical models, interaction between students and teachers, as well as the transformation of administrative processes. Particular attention is paid to the regulatory and legal regulation of AI in Ukraine, in particular the provisions of the Concept of AI Development, the White Paper on AI Regulation, and the National Strategy for AI Development until 2030. It is determined that the effective integration of AI requires improving legislation, forming ethical standards, and introducing mechanisms to protect academic integrity and transparency. Prospects for further research include studying the impact of AI on pedagogy, administration, and inclusiveness of education, as well as the development of interdisciplinary programs and technological standards for the safe and effective use of AI in higher education.
