Vibrationsmätningar på fläktsystem
Air handling units play a vital role in regulating indoor environments such as hospitals, schools, and offices. By improving the understanding of the structural behaviour of these systems, this research contributes to the development of quieter, more durable, and efficient Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning installations, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability. This bachelor’s thesis investigates the effectiveness of vibration measurement techniques for fan assemblies used within air handling units at IV Produkt AB in Växjö, Sweden. This study evaluates and explores vibration testing methods by comparing the company’s existing production testing method with single-axis accelerometers to experimental approaches involving a modal hammer test with tri-axial accelerometers, high-speed camera analyses, and finite element modelling. Results indicate that the existing production testing setup does not fully capture the vibrational behaviour of fan assemblies installed in air handling units. For one fan configuration, key resonance frequencies were identified, and the limitations of the current methodology were highlighted. The study concludes with recommendations for an improved measurement approach, including the adoption of modal testing with tri-axial accelerometers and the refinement of a numerical model.
