Visiones del anarquismo catalán en la guerra civil: El caso de Justo Bueno Pérez
Just as the libertarian movement was subject to unanimous criticism and reproaches from anti-Franco allies, the figure of Justo Bueno Pérez raised a consensus about his criminal and aberrant attitude. Anarchism had already advocated subversive actions before the Spanish Civil War in its fight against a bourgeois regime that was retained as an oppressor, and men like Bueno Pérez participated in such actions. Later, during the war, the libertarians suspended the validity of several of their principles in order to achieve a better cooperation with the rest of the anti-Franco forces, and this would explain the induction of criminal actions in which Bueno took part. A review of his career before, during and after the civil war shows that Justo Bueno’s actions are not that of a common and irrational criminal, but rather the actions of a loyal libertarian militant who did not stop being such until the day of his execution.
