Une approche écopoétique et écocritique de la nouvelle futuriste, fantastique et scientifique "Le Tout-au-ciel", de Rachilde
In this article, we wish to bring to light a short novel by Rachilde (1860-1953). Le Tout-au-ciel was published in the Mercure de France in 1902 and significantly departs from everything Rachilde produced during her literary career. It depicts a fantastic, scientific and futuristic. Through this text, the author takes the opportunity to deliver a harsh critique of progress and its ecological consequences, while also condemning politicians for their harmful policies in the name of that very progress. Her perplexity and irritation lead her to unleash the wildest mechanisms of her imagination to wage her own ecological battle.
