Un Juego de Rol para Motivar al Análisis de Modelos: Un Estudio en Educación Secundaria

The present study examines how students were motivated to analyze three mathematical models: vehicle volume, watershed shape factor, land appraisal, that emerged through a narrative role-playing game (Misión Ceiba) by learning mathematical concepts in a natural way. For this purpose, a qualitative case study was carried out with students of Secondary Education (14-16 years old) in an official educational institution in Medellin-Colombia. The results showed how the role-playing game influenced the motivation for learning mathematics, creating the need for students to study the models, their associated phenomena, and to establish relationships with other sciences.
