Tendência temporal das taxas de gravidez na adolescência no estado de Roraima, 2011 a 2022
Teenage pregnancy is a public health problem that impacts not only young pregnant women, but also their families and society. In Brazil, the North region has some of the highest rates of this phenomenon, which justifies the need for specific studies. The objective of this study was to analyze the temporal trend of teenage pregnancy rates in the state of Roraima between 2011 and 2022, considering socioeconomic and regional factors. To this end, an ecological time-series study was carried out, using data fromthe Live Birth Information System (SINASC) and statistical analyses by segmented linear regression. It was observed that, while the overall teenage pregnancy rate remained relatively stable, some municipalities showed significant growth, especially those with lower Primary Health Care coverage and a greater presence of indigenous and migrant populations. In addition, a relationship was identified between low education levels and a higher incidence of early pregnancy. It is concluded that teenage pregnancy in Roraima reflects social inequalities and challenges in the implementation of preventive public policies, highlighting the need to strengthen sexual education and reproductive planning programs.
