Tecnologías Emergentes en la Educación: Realidad Aumentada, Inteligencia Artificial y Gamificación como Herramientas Clave

The purpose of this study was to determine the effective use of emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence and gamification in the teaching-learning process, through a documentary review and the application of surveys to 25 teachers of the Eloy Alfaro Educational Unit. Inductive, analytical and synthetic methods were used, with a qualitative approach, supported by bibliographic and webgraphic sources. The main problem lies in the gap between the educational potential of these technological tools and their actual application in the classroom. Although they can improve motivation, personalization and innovation in learning, their integration in the Ecuadorian educational system is still limited due to the lack of teacher training, inadequate infrastructure and poor methodological guidance. The most significant finding of the study was that 100% of the teachers surveyed considered it necessary to develop a methodological guide to facilitate the pedagogical use of these technologies. This unanimous response evidences an urgent need for institutional support to guide their implementation in a coherent and sustainable manner. Therefore, the study supports the creation of a practical guide as a key tool to strengthen teaching practice and boost educational quality through the appropriate use of emerging technologies.
