Take a Walk on the Dark Side: The Role of Addiction and Psychopathy in Student AI Adoption

The rapid adoption of AI in academia has raised concerns, including AI’s potentially addictive qualities. A growing concern, therefore, is that college students’ AI dependence may grow into addiction. This research utilizes the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) to clarify addiction’s role in AI adoption in higher education.
