Serviços da Educação Especial na Educação Infantil para crianças com necessidades complexas de comunicação na Paraíba, Brasil

In recent decades the discussion about an inclusive society and school has grown in Brazil, which has resulted in different laws and decrees that ensure, for example, the use of Assistive Technology resources for children such as complex communication needs, as well as specialized educational assistance with a Special Education professional. Therefore, the research aims to analyze the Special Education services offered to children with complex communication needs in Early Childhood Education. Thus, the research method of open participant observation was used, with a qualitative approach, of an exploratory nature in an Early Childhood Education institution in a city in the state of Paraíba, in Brazil. As a result, it was realized that Special Education professionals do not use Augmentative and Alternative Comunication instruments, unifying the development process of all children, carrying out the same activities, without adaptation and specific strategies.
