Resultados Perinatales de COVID-19 y Embarazo en Segundo Nivel de Atención: Revisión de la Literatura Mexicana
This narrative review examines the current scientific evidence regarding perinatal outcomes among pregnant women with COVID-19 in Mexico, specifically in secondary care hospitals. The review includes data from March 2020 to December 2024, focusing on neonatal morbidity, preterm birth, low birth weight, cesarean delivery rates, and the risk of vertical transmission. The analysis incorporates studies from national health institutions, peer-reviewed journals, and official government reports. The results highlight the challenges faced by secondary-level hospitals in managing obstetric care during the pandemic and the need for structured protocols to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes in future health emergencies.
