Relación entre medidas corporales y rendimiento en béisbol categoría U23: un estudio correlativo

Objective: This study investigated the relationship between goniometry, anthropometry, and manual isometric strength with swing speed in players from the Antioquia U23 baseball pre-selection. Methodology: this study adopted a non-experimental quantitative correlational ex-planatory approach, with a sample of 59 baseball players. A digital goniometer, dynamometer, caliper, and swing analyzer were used. Results: significant differences were found in anthropo-metric variables and goniometry, especially according to playing position, highlighting height and internal hip rotation. Manual isometric strength was homogeneous. Conclusions: a regres-sion model explained 56.7% of the variance in swing speed, highlighting the relevance of play-ing position and suggesting new lines of research to individualize training.
