This article had been write one day after the riots in Torre Pacheco, a murcian town, whose kept Spain on edge for a week in July 2025. The writing has run in parallel to the events, as they came and went, collecting and analyzing information almost minuteby minute. After the attack on an retired man by a moroccan, xenophobic violence erupted for two days, especially the 12th during the night. The wildness came to a screeching halt the following day, preventing the transformation of the immigrant neighborhoods into a hunting ground. This was the aspiration of diverse well-known extremist groups, calls through social media. We have witnessed a failed experiment, unique in recent Spanish history, for which there are more explanations than meets the eye. Too many have benefited from it, some of them are not so obvious. A fact to ponder with a hightened sense of alarm. This won't be the last one.
