In a sports game, the relationship with time often holds significant importance. As it is an integral part of the rules ofthe game, it determines their structure, the strategies adopted, and the overall experience of the participants.Indeed, sports frequently have strict temporal constraints; the duration of matches, precise schedules. Incomparison to games, which are more flexible in terms of time. This fits into the framework of entering a world offreedom and pleasure and not reliving the displeasures of work within the game.Through a structural analysis of a corpus of traditional Algerian games, our objective is to elucidate the concept ofrelationship with time from a dual perspective. On one hand, we will examine time as an intrinsic structuringcomponent of the game itself (time in games). On the other hand, we will study how these games fit into thesocietal temporal calendar, positioning them as a distinct entity from other social times (games within times).
