Promoção do autocuidado no tratamento cirúrgico de paciente com câncer gástrico: revisão integrativa da literatura

Estimates indicate that gastric cancer is responsible for high mortality rates worldwide. The choice to develop the present study arose from nursing work in oncology surgical clinic services in a reference hospital for oncology. The objective of this study is to analyze scientific evidence on self-care practices during the perioperative period for cancer patients gastric. This is an Integrative Literature Review (RIL), which compiles scientific evidence on the topic. Specific steps followed: formulation of the research question based on the PICo acronym, definition of descriptors and databases, article inclusion and exclusion criteria, selection of studies, data analysis and critical discussion of the findings. The studies highlight the importance of an integrated approach that includes multidisciplinary team training, use of evidence-based protocols, and ongoing psychological and nutritional support for cancer patients.
