Prevención del riesgo psicosocial en contextos educativos: Estrategias para la promoción de la salud mental y el desarrollo de habilidades para la vida
This study aims to identify and analyze psychosocial risk factors in educational contexts, particularly school violence and the absence of life skills, to develop prevention strategies and promote mental health among students and teachers. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews, naturalistic observation, and field diaries as data collection instruments. The research was conducted in educational institutions in the metropolitan area of Valle de Aburrá, with a sample of 600 participants, including teachers and students. The findings revealed that the most prevalent psychosocial risk factors in educational settings are school violence, academic overload, and the lack of emotional coping strategies. These factors were shown to affect students' mental health, increasing anxiety, stress, and academic demotivation. Interventions based on life skills development proved to be effective in strengthening emotional well-being and improving school coexistence. The need to consolidate sustainable intervention strategies adapted to different educational contexts was identified. The study highlights the importance of integrating psychosocial risk prevention programs into the educational field, promoting a comprehensive approach that involves teachers, students, and families. It is recommended that longitudinal studies continue to assess the impact of interventions and that interdisciplinary strategies be implemented to foster the development of students' socio-emotional skills, contributing to the creation of safer and healthier school environments
