The Past That Haunts

This thesis deals with themes of horror and trauma through the lens of primarily female protagonists as they move through life. Each character in the stories is currently dealing with a traumatic moment in their life from something small like boys to larger topics like death and drugs or losing a loved one. Some stories detail graphic images of body horror and abuse, drug use, and violence, however, each serves a purpose in each character's life as they all approach the inevitable facing of their traumas.
