Overview of current approaches to mitigate friction and wear in mechanical systems
This study investigates how friction modeling reduces wear and improves operational efficiency in automotive, aerospace, and energy systems by optimizing bearing lubrication. It emphasizes advancements in lubrication strategies, including theoretical frameworks, textured surface engineering, and additive technologies. While current dynamic and multi-field coupling models have limitations, developing advanced computational methods is critical to enhancing predictive accuracy for real-world lubrication performance, ultimately supporting the durability and reliability of mechanical systems.
