2024 Novel Invasive Plant Pest Survey

In 2024, the OR State Plant Health Director's office staff in collaboration with the ODF and ODA conducted survey for a variety of novel invasive plant pests of regulatory concern including spongy moth, spotted lanternfly, box tree moth, emerald ash borer, and multiple exotic wood boring species. There were positive survey results for emerald ash borer and spongy moth with additional pests reported by citizens including Phytophthora austrocedri and spotted lanternfly. I will cover these results in more detail and discuss plans for 2025 surveys.
