Nueva Pornografía y Sexting de riesgo en Jóvenes de Granada (España)

Youth is a key stage in the development of sexuality. Currently, new technologies are playing a significant role in youth socialization, promoting practices such as sexting and consumption of “new pornography”, which can negatively influence sexual attitudes. Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) seeks to respond appropriately to these situations and promote critical awareness. This study analyzes the relationship between consumption of new pornography and risky sexting among young people in Granada, considering their CSE experiences. Forty-one questionnaires were administered to young people aged 14 to 21 in Grenada (36.6% males and 63.4% females), performing a bivariate statistical analysis. Among the results, the high consumption of new pornography (82.9%) stands out, with impacts on social and sexual relationships (80%), and that 53.3% consider it real. 85.3% practiced sexting, and 19.5% were coerced. Although 61% received CSE, 95.1% demand its updating. A critical and contextualized CSE is recommended to prevent digital violence

Youth is a key stage in the development of sexuality. Currently, new technologies are playing a significant role in youth socialization, promoting practices such as sexting and consumption of “new pornography”, which can negatively influence sexual attitudes.
