Liderazgo transformacional en la mejora de la calidad educativa en la Educación Básica

Transformational leadership can improve educational quality, it is a thematic axis of indelible discussion, which underlies the learning of students at the basic general education level of the Blanca Cuadros Zambrano Educational Unit, in the Rocafuerte canton. Its problem lies in how to promote administrative management that allows the development of quality educationin teachers. Accordingly, the stated objective was expressed in developing an action plan for the development of transformational leadership in basic general education teachers of the Blanca Cuadros Zambrano Educational Unit for the improvement of educational quality. The research was developed under the quantitative approach, of a critical-analytical type, and with a descriptive, non-experimental design. The selected sample includes the voluntary participation of 11 teachers at the basic general educationlevel and the director of the educational institution. The technique used for data collection was a survey, the results of which showed that teachers do not apply educational actions that have already been agreed upon and are established in the documents of the educational institution, as they show a poor dynamic of interaction and participation among the members of the educational community. Aspects related to the quality standards of teacher performance with their respective dimensions were raised. Likewise, for transformational leadership, the dimensions within the educational processes were identified, and consequently a proposal for an action plan consisting of four phases was developed; 1) unknown phase, 2) familiarization phase, 3) mature associationphase between the agents and 4) evaluation or monitoring phase.
