La ciudad percibida
The geography of perception proposes a vision of the study of the city that collects the personal experience of its inhabitants and visitors through their sensations, emotions and preferences. This leads us to an internal vision of reality that is directed more towards the lived and subjective space. This paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of street art from the geographical perspective of perception. Using various techniques and styles, urban artists create works that interact with their surroundings and attract the attention of those passing through the streets. We will deal with the topic of muralism, identifying it as a participant in the appearance of differentiated places and as an expression that contributes to creating imaginaries different from the established ones, with broad possibilities for its understanding in relation to the appropriation of public space and other ways of living and understanding. the city in a more sustainable way.
