La necesidad de implementación de tribunales ambientales autónomos en México

The main objective of this study was to propose an Autonomous Environmental Tribunal in Mexico to streamline and optimize the resolution of cases in environmental law. Through systematic research, the environmental issues were described highlighting urgent and complex challenges, particularly concerning the comprehensive protection of life and the mitigation of risks threatening environmental stability. First, the current global environmental situation was examined, followed by a theoretical and legal analysis of environmental law in Mexico and its international treaties. A comparative law-based description of similar implementations to the Autonomous Environmental Tribunal in other countries was provided, and finally, elements for the establishment of an Autonomous Environmental Tribunal in Mexico were outlined. Indeed, addressing these challenges requires a transformation in legal culture, adapting principles and standards to provide effective and up-to-date solutions to contemporary environmental problems.
