Konceptutveckling av ett verktyg för mobiltelefoner och surfplattor : Konceptutveckling av ett reparationsverktyg
A degree project for engineers in innovation technology and design. The work was carried out at Karlstad University with the clients Oliver Pajakovski and Daniél Pihl Parera from Lagamobilen. Lagamobilen is a company specializing in the repair of mobile phones, tablets, e-scooters, computers, and other electronics. The goal of the thesis is to develop a tool for tablet and mobile phone repairs that is intended to remove cracked glass, glue and double-sided tape from tablets and smartphones, in a safe and effective way. The work process followed is Double diamond. The research showed that there is a need and that there was no tool that could solve the problem. This was mainly observed when simple tools such as screwdrivers, IP solution and tweezers were used. However, more research needs to be done to determine this. The project resulted in a solution consisting of a handheld ergonomic design in Lagamobilen´s colors and design language. The product is primarily intended for removing glass from mobile phones and tablets but can also handle glue and tape residue. It consists of a handle attached to a steel rod and includes a cover, blade with bits, and a socket. The socket with the bits is magnetic and modular, allowing for the use of different cutting blades. The cover's geometry ensures that the tool remains straight along the edge, while the inner rubber lining prevents damage to buttons and controls and avoids scratching the device. The tool is 200 mm in length, and the bits vary in width between 3 and 7 mm, as per the project requirements.
