La lateralidad y su influencia en el aprendizaje de la lectoescritura en los estudiantes de segundo año básico

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of laterality on the learning of literacy of second-year Basic Education students of the "6 de Octubre" Educational Unit, located in the Santo Domingo canton. This study was carried out by applying the Harris Test to evaluate laterality and observation sheets to record performance in literacy activities, allowing us to identify how crossed or undefined laterality impacts the development of these fundamental skills. In addition, an analysis was carried out of the pedagogical strategies used by teachers and the resources available in the classroom to address these difficulties, evaluating the effectiveness of psychomotor and recreational activities in stimulating laterality. This project is of great relevance, since it seeks to strengthen the literacy process through the implementation of innovative strategies adapted to the neuropsychological needs of students, thus promoting more meaningful and personalized learning. The results of this research will allow us to establish practical recommendations for teachers, including the creation of a digital portfolio that serves as a guide to identify difficulties related to laterality and design effective pedagogical interventions, contributing to comprehensive and sustainable academic development.
