Habilidades sociocientíficas desarrolladas y dificultades procedimentales en el trabajo de laboratorio de los estudiantes de bachillerato

The purpose of this work is to evaluate the development of socio-scientific skills and procedural difficulties in the laboratory work of high school students. To this end, a descriptive quantitative study was carried out, using an Inventory of Skills for Laboratory Work in a sample of 110 high school students. The results show an adequate development of social skills in the laboratory, although with deficiencies in communication and argumentation, scientific skills present difficulties in planning, experimental design and interpretation of results, limiting the formulation of hypotheses and the application of knowledge, in terms of procedural skills, deficiencies were exposed in the monitoring of the experimental design and in the structuring of the analysis. In conclusion, these findings highlight the importance of strengthening the development of socio-scientific skills through strategies that promote critical thinking and the application of knowledge. Likewise, the improvement in procedural skills requires a more structured methodological approach to guarantee autonomous and rigorous learning in the laboratory.
