Hadis Kaynaklı Tasavvuf Kavramları

Sufism is a scholarly discipline aimed at embodying the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in accordance with certain methodological approaches. Sufis regard the Prophet Muhammad as the "Perfect Man" (Insan al-Kamil) and have adopted his Sunnah as a guide in every aspect of their lives. Just as in other Islamic sciences, the Sunnah has been a fundamental basis for Sufism as well. The main concepts and teachings of Sufism have been shaped and developed in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad. This clearly demonstrates that the teachings of Sufism are based on the principles of the Sunnah and have been shaped in its light. Therefore, it is observed that hadiths occupy an important place in Sufi sources, and these hadiths play a central role in deepening Sufi thoughts. The foundation of Sufi education and instruction has been built upon the correct understanding and implementation of the Sunnah. In this way, the Sunnah has become the main reference source that shapes the spiritual understanding and practice of Sufism. However, the origin of Sufism and the sources from which it has been nourished have been a subject of ongoing debate from the ascetic period to the present day. In the course of these debates, many works have been written to either defend or criticize Sufism, and the origin, originality, and place of Sufism within Islamic sciences have been examined. The work introduced here has been written with the aim of emphasizing that the roots of Sufism are based on Islamic sources, that Sufi concepts are grounded in hadiths, and that these hadiths have played a significant role in shaping Sufi thought. The author has previously addressed this issue in their work Kur’an Kaynaklı Tasavvuf Kavramları and expressed that Sufi concepts are derived from the Qur'an. In this examined work, the origin, originality, and source of Sufi concepts are discussed in the context of hadiths, and responses to the mentioned problems are provided in the light of hadiths. Additionally, in some sections, concepts derived from Qur'anic verses are also referenced and deduced.
