Gamificación con herramientas tecnológicas aplicada en contenidos de Cálculo: Español

This present article addresses the use of technological tools through the gamification strategy in the teaching of differential calculus, specifically in applications of the derivative of a function such as local extremes, monotony, inflection point and concavity. The study was carried out at the Guayaquil Fiscal Educational Unit, with 60 third-year high school students between science and computer science and 8 teachers from the area to validate information by experts. The research combined qualitative and quantitative approaches, which frame mathematics education and the use of GeoGebra, Maple and Matlab tools to improve student learning and motivation. The methodology used is quantitative and experimental, since the activities designed are interactive and practical using the aforementioned tools. In addition, the effectiveness was evaluated through surveys and analysis of academic results, significantly favoring the conceptual understanding of these contents, allowing to graphically visualize abstract properties of the functions and encouraging the active participation of students, in addition to an increase in motivation and interest towards learning the applications of derivatives, proving to be an effective strategy to address educational challenges in topics of this discipline.
