Gamificação no ensino de zoologia: jogos digitais como ferramenta para o estudo dos insetos

The teaching of Zoology faces challenges related to passive memorization and the difficulty of visualizing biological processes. In this context, gamification emerges as an innovative strategy to make learning more dynamic and engaging. This study evaluated the effectiveness of the digital games Colmeia: Insetos na Escola and Fazenda: Insetos na Escola in teaching insects, applied during the Agrokids and SIUFPI events. The methodology combined bibliographic research and direct observation, analyzing participants' interaction with the games. The results indicated a significant increase in student engagement, facilitating the assimilation of scientific concepts in a playful and interactive way. Additionally, gamification showed potential to strengthen university extension, bringing the community closer to science. It is concluded that digital games are effective tools for teaching Zoology, contributing to more meaningful learning and stimulating students' interest in biodiversity.
