Främja innovation och samarbete: : Undersökning av inkubatorsmiljöers roll för projektledning i nystartade företag
This study explores the role of a specific incubator environment, in shaping startup project management practices. It examines how one European HUB’s physical space, culture, and community dynamics influence collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. The research addresses two key questions: to what extent are startups working within a project-based structure, and how does the HUB environment affect collaboration, knowledge sharing, and project management? Using a qualitative approach, interviews with startup founders and team members were analyzed through thematic analysis. The findings reveal that startups in the HUB adopt adaptive project management approaches, blending agile and traditional methodologies. The balance between structure and flexibility is critical, with leadership playing a key role. The results highlight three interconnected themes: "Structure versus Flexibility", "The Synergy of Culture, Space, and Community" and "Community-Driven Collaboration and Innovation." These themes show how startups navigate project management challenges while leveraging the HUB’s collaborative culture and space to innovate, share knowledge, and make decisions. This study offers insights into how a single incubator environment focusing on sustainability through postive culture, influences startup project management and foster innovation.
