Estrategias de Enseñanza Basadas en el Aprendizaje Activo para el Desarrollo Integral de los Niños de Educación Inicial: Una mirada reflexiva sobre la práctica
This study investigates the impact of active learning strategies on the integral development of children, focusing on cognitive, motor, and socioemotional domains. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from structured observations and qualitative insights from teacher interviews and focus groups. The study involved children and educators from diverse educational settings, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of the effects of active learning. The findings reveal that active learning fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based projects, enhances gross and fine motor coordination via outdoor activities, and strengthens socioemotional competencies such as empathy, teamwork, and communication through peer collaboration. Teachers reported increased motivation and participation among students, demonstrating the effectiveness of active learning in creating engaging and meaningful educational experiences. However, the study also highlights significant challenges, including the need for continuous teacher training to implement active learning strategies effectively and the adaptation of physical spaces to create dynamic and flexible learning environments. These conclusions emphasize integrating innovative pedagogical approaches with structural and professional development support. This research contributes to understanding active learning's multifaceted benefits while identifying critical areas for improvement to maximize its impact on educational outcomes.
